How to install the NexusArchitect plugin, the commands it provides, and the disable-model-invocation restriction
NexusArchitect is distributed as a plugin (an extension added after initial setup) for Claude Code. Based on observed behavior, the plugin is cached at the following path:
~/.claude/plugins/cache/nexus-architect/{product,architect,scalardb,infra}/<version>/
This path structure indicates that NexusArchitect is installed via a plugin marketplace (the mechanism for distributing and installing plugins) or a private plugin repository. The specific install command (including any marketplace URL) varies depending on how your organization distributes the plugin, so no specific URLs are provided here. The steps below describe the general procedure for installing a Claude Code plugin.
Add the plugin marketplace
If your organization uses an internal marketplace or a .claude-plugin/marketplace.json file, check your organization’s documentation for the appropriate URL.
Install the plugin
Run /plugin install nexus-architect (or the equivalent command) to install.
Verify the slash commands
Once installation is complete, the /product:* and /architect:* slash command groups and their corresponding Skills (features organized by role) become available.
After installation, the Claude Code system reminder will display the list of available Skills (such as product:start and architect:export-backlog).
Important restriction: disable-model-invocation
Certain Skills (architect:export-backlog, architect:review-issue, architect:merge-issue,
architect:implement-backlog) are prohibited from being invoked directly by Claude on its own judgment. If Claude attempts to call any of these via the Skill tool, the following error is returned:
Skill architect:review-issue cannot be used with Skill tool due to disable-model-invocation
